Track brakes
In many cases, the braking force generated via mechanical contact between the wheel and the rail is not sufficient and therefore electromagnetic track brakes are often installed in vehicles to support the braking function. Track brakes are positioned inside the bogie near the wheels where space is tight. HANNING & KAHL has been developing and producing innovative solutions for the integration of track brakes into vehicles for more than 90 years now.
