Launch of New Brake Systems
Once again last year, numerous customers chose brake systems from Oerlinghausen. We were able to launch new projects with our partners and support the deployment of modern vehicle fleets.

Whether in Europe – for example in Rome, Chorzów, Palermo, Naples and The Hague – or in North America, such as Cleveland: accompanying new vehicles as they cover their first few kilometres during the commissioning process is always a special moment.
Our tailored training workshops for transport companies are also in great demand. Brake systems are safety-critical components of modern rail vehicles – and it is therefore essential to ensure that on-site staff are fully prepared to maintain and service them and to continuously update their existing knowledge. Our specialists support them with their technical expertise and serve as a direct point of contact for any questions that arise in day-to-day operations.
These engagements are also a valuable opportunity to interact with the various operators on their specific challenges and find practical solutions. When transport companies are stretched in terms of personnel or are specifically seeking external support, they can rely on us – and our local H&K-certified service partners – to help them with their servicing needs.
This approach is evidently valued: many customers choose HANNING & KAHL again for their new projects. As a result, we were already able to secure numerous new orders and additional options worldwide for 2025. We greatly appreciate this trust.
North America is a major focus in this respect, and we have been able to make good progress there in recent years. Our brake systems are already in deployment in cities like Chicago and Vancouver, and will also be in use in Calgary, Cleveland, St. Louis and Omaha in the future. Our Philadelphia location is now providing service support and will be further expanded. We are also steadily building up our local operations with partners. Given the positive feedback from our customers, we know we are on the right track.
The world comes together in Berlin
We are greatly looking forward to the upcoming InnoTrans 2026 in Berlin. This leading international trade fair will again provide an excellent opportunity to engage with customers, partners and industry experts from all over the world and discuss the future of modern mobility with them.
In addition to interesting innovations to our brake systems, we will also showcase new developments in testing and service equipment. There will be a particular focus on practical maintenance, diagnostics and efficient servicing solutions. We want to give transport companies the best possible support – through reliable technology and intelligent service concepts. We are expecting a large number of visitors, so please arrange an appointment with your contact well in advance. We look forward to meeting you in person in Berlin in September.
